Is it possible to know GOD personally?

YES!  God loves you and has devised a redemptive purpose for your life that includes knowing Him personally through Jesus Christ, His Son.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  – John 3:16

“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” – John 17:3

“Jesus answered…’If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.’” – John 4:10

Sadly, our sin separates us from God and blocks His purpose for us.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23

“But your iniquities have separated you from your God.” – Isaiah 59:2a

Jesus is the only way to know God personally and to be saved from the eternal
consequences of our sin.

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

You must by faith receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord (Master). Stop trying to save yourself and earning God’s favor.  Understand God’s grace!

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourself, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8,9

Repent and give Jesus control of your life.  By faith alone ask Him alone to be your Savior and Lord.

“That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…..For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” – Romans 10:9,13

Your desire to have a personal relationship with God can be expressed through a simple prayer like this……

“Dear Lord, I want to know you personally.  I am willing, by your grace, to turn from my sins.  Thank you for sending Jesus who died in my place and rose again to be my Savior.  Come into my life and save me from the guilt and penalty of my sin.  I want you to be the Master of my life.”

Remember, “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).  God said it, you believe it, that settles it.  Take God at His word. You are saved if from the heart you have called on the Lord.

If you have prayed this prayer please e-mail the pastor and share the good news with him.  He will send you some helpful literature.  In the meantime begin to read the Gospel of John, the fourth book in the New Testament.  Then, find a church that preaches and teaches the Bible and grow in the Lord.
